Today is the Cape Peninsular Tour filled with spectacular scenery
Today will be a very busy day . Remember to bring your camera. The day starts with a cable car ride up Table Mountain. Table Mountain is part of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It has more that 2200 plant species and 1470 floral species and many of the plants are endemic to this mountain. You can stroll around the plato on the mountain and take majestic photos of the city and coast line below. We carry on along the coast to Cape Point Nature Reserve that is part of the Table Mountain National park. It is the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms. Take in some of the most breathtaking ocean and mountain scenery in the world and ride the Flying Dutchman Funicular up to the view point.
We continue our journey via the Penguin Colony in Simons Town to a wine farm along the Atlantic Coast for an afternoon of wine tasting. After the long and busy day we will continue back to your Cape Town Hotel where you can enjoy a dinner at you own speed in a local restaurant.
Today we will move on to Stellenbosch.
After breakfast we will continue our journey, heading towards Stellenbosch, one of the best known wine producing towns in South Africa.
You will visit a wine farm for wine tasting before dropping your bags at the hotel in Stellenbosch. During the afternoon you will visit another vineyard for wine tasting and there is an option of a spa treatment at the spa on the wine farm. The rest of the late afternoon and evening you can enjoy and relax in Stellenbosch town and enjoy an evening meal under the old oak trees in the historic centre of the town.
Today you can do wine tasting at your own speed.
Visiting wine farms in a vintage-style railway tram and open-air tram-bus in Franschhoek is an unique experience.
The Wine Tram Hop -On Hop-Off is the best way to discover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley. You will have the full day to hop on and hop off at the wine farms on your route and do wine tastings and have lunch at your own speed on the farms. If you manage your time well, you will be able to visit all 6 wine farms on the route.
After a long day you will return to your Stellenbosch Hotel for a relaxing evening.
Today we will meander through valleys and drive up mountain passes.
We will be driving to the Robertson wine district via Franschhoek and the Franschhoek Pass. The climate of this wine producing area it much drier than Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. The Robertson wine region is renowned for wines of great depth and concentration, a result of the ideal soil and climate conditions in this region. We will explore the vineyards of the Robertson valley and stop for spectacular views along the way. The day will include gin tasting, MCC and nougat pairing, wine tasting, a cellar tour and a rest stop at a deli with typical South African dishes and snacks.
MCC is Cap Classic wine that is styled on the classic Champagne wines.
Today is the homestretch of the wine tasting itinerary.
We will start the day with beer tasting in Franschhoek. We will continue our journey to a wine farm for lunch. Here you will enjoy South African cuisine and do wine pairing with your meal. After lunch you have the afternoon to stroll through the Franschhoek Village.
Late afternoon we will return to Stellenbosch.
You will finish your Road Trip with a day on a Private Game Reserve.
The Private Game Reserve is less than 2,5 hours drive from Stellenbosch in the Ceres Karoo area. The 10 000 hectare private game reserve offers Big 5 Safaris. All the members of the Big 5 – elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and the elusive leopard are at the reserve.
Together with zebas, giraffes, wildebees, springbok, eland, gemsbok and hippos wallowing in the dam, you will have a real safari experience.
You will enjoy a game drive and lunch before returning back to Stellenbosch.
If you prefer a longer Safari Experience you can choose to do a 2 night stay at a Private Reserve.
This Private Reserve is situated at the foot of the Warmwaterberg Mountain Range in the heart of the Little Karoo. The reserve also hosts the Big 5 and a big variety of wildlife.
You will be able to choose your type of accommodation that varies from an Explorer Tented Camp, Luxury Tented Lodge or a Manor with open-plan suites. Each suite have their own veranda overlooking breathtaking views of the mountains and plains.
